4th Rock Nite - 3rd Birthday Bash, 4th April 2009

What can you say about success? Well if you are doing something right every bugger copies you for one thing. Our 3rd birthday was a turning point for the club as we – for the first time – had no debts to repay! The night was a huge triumph for us and despite The Band of Gypsies not turning up we had a fantastic time.

The Jalapeños played their socks off all night and everyone was rocking, the raffle ran out of tickets and we had to borrow some from behind the bar, Stevo and Ellie with pink socks and pot sold the lot, good show from Ellie with a broken wrist and a recent bunion op she limped round with Stevo in his lovely black wig -- we will have to dress him up more often—and they were still selling tickets gone 11.00pm!!!

The Kick Ass Chicks were stunning in their corsets and bustles and we had a lot of very attractive ladies there, good job Telescopic Dave was with someone !!

The only complaint was from the Maverick Gypsies who came looking for pie and peas and found someone had ate all the pies!! Big Al was not impressed and got double burgers and triple bacon butties and still came back for more!! Pauline did us proud with the catering and kept all fed and watered leaving our Mandi and Carol more or less with nowt to do in the kitchen, they did sell a few tee shirts and cans though, the new kitchen was very nice and much appreciated, bikers black for the worktops – nice touch!!

The place was full to busting and still they came to party, we had a good crowd and the night was buzzing, from far and wide they came -- Stoke, Wakefield, Scotland and deepest darkest Lancasheeer. Iddy rolled down the hill all of 150 yards and just across the road, the trick was to get him back home again.

We had more than a few cans left between us for a after hours drink in the kitchen with Andy and Mick eating pizzas off the floor contest, and Snake on the guitar we carried on ’til about 4.30pm, and then some as the ice had formed on the tents and it was cold!!! So we had beer left and just carried on and on and on..............

Next day we tidied up, sobered up, packed up and ate up and then waited for the bacon butties to come back up, there were some heavy heads and Choppa Jon’s was maybe the worst, he staggered out of the caravan and to the bog with no shoes and socks on and looked very very hung over, mind you Mikpik had been rocking the caravan to get him out of it so he was feeling a bit sea sick I guess.
