Dick Turpin’s 5th Rock Nite

The thing about bikers is they know how to party and enjoy themselves so although things start quietly they invariably end up rockin n rollin and raisin the roof. That is how it was on the cold dark night of 7th Nov not many fireworks outside, but plenty inside with meaty music from the two bands, and the rock dj all doing their best to make sure the tunes went down well.

Lazy Suzun are three young lads from Dukinfield who will be in even greater demand very soon, they can play their geetars with awesome attitude and then some!!! Once they take the stage they don’t want to get off it and they play their socks off – you can tell they are really into their music.

Rock Solutions DJ are solid and reliable giving you whatever your little heart desires and have a catalogue of music for every taste you can think of. Spen is a true professional and can be counted on to deliver. Anything in the music line is his job and he has some you won’t have heard of for sure!!! You can depend on him to sort things out musically, good job he does too. A maestro of music for sure !

Full Tilt lived up to their name and went for it literally full tilt !!! Derek and his boys were wicked wicked wicked – in my humble opinion of course – as we all know ones man’s meat is another’s poison and musical taste varies so much you just cannot please all of the people all of the time, but hell’s bells we do try !!!! Full Tilt headlined at the Ganton Gathering rally this year and have proved to be very popular.

Great music and good company make for a crackin night and there wasn’t many who didn’t enjoy it, seems like it gets better and better, would have been a disaster if we hadn’t have had the bonfire toffee lollipops tho hahahahaha they were alreet on the neet donchano.

Not bad when you look at the age of our rockers – one 7 years old and one 79, so we had a good mixture – lots of clubs turned up to support us and we can only get down on bended knees to pay homage to the Scavengers who were hosting their own do that night but came all the way from Bolton to stay an hour and have a drink and say hello......is that what it’s all about or what??? Great effort and humungous thanks and we will see you at your Winter Ball.

We had a presentation to Barbara Beaumont, one half of our patrons, for her birthday and gave her flowers and a Katie cake !!! Ellie did us proud with the raffle and as ever made everyone smile with her inimitable style.

Stalwart regular on the gate Little Dave has acquired a pretty assistant in Little Barbara so together they make more than a little difference to our evenings of entertainment, they collect the dosh !!!! Most Important job of all !!!!!

The kitchen was fairly quiet as we had the services of Pauline’s catering van once more who did us proud with pie n peas and lots of bacon butties for breakfast. It was a wet n windy night and not the best time to be eating outside but pies proved popular with Dippy having ’em for breakfast !!!! wooo hoo.

Can’t quite recall much after about 10ish as the amber nectar was in full flow but was told me and Sherdevil were the last women standing – now Stevo tells me I fell into the Atakama hotel – me tent-calling Michael all the names under the sun, well he did get drunk before me and he did go to bed before me !!!! left me to the demon drink !!! well that’s not cricket is it hahahaha get it – Lower house cricket club ??? ah well pass on that one then.

That is dedication to the biking cause if ever there was any ...... way to go Lisa !!!!!! better still she is joining the club !!!!

How can you have a better night ???? Well we will surely try at the 6th rock nite in April 2010.
